Over the past few years, I have done a number of shows streamed to a variety of platforms "live" and have enjoyed doing them. I am entering a new period of life where I feel like I can begin doing something that resembles that again although I do not know if I will be continuing my journey with YouTube in as actively a manner as I had before.
Initially, I liked YouTube. I liked the format and the way people could be found and the way users could interact. And, slowly, over time, many of these features we reduced (scaled back) or scrapped (done away with). I did not like this. Many smaller channels, myself included, respected the decision YouTube made to progress the way they did while some chose to voice their objections. With that said, I feel I should mention that this is not a "resignation letter" to YouTube (I am not employed by YouTube in any regard), instead is it notice to expand; I am in the process of planning my next steps for my involvement with YouTube because I do not like the way they have handled an assortment of issues - it is, however, their platform.
Let me set this straight, I enjoy making content (music, writing articles, videos/shorts, podcasting/conversations, etc.) and I feel most content producers and makers are overlooked because the majority of the content produced is too difficult to market; my work is no exception to this. I enjoy putting in the work to put out the work and see people's reactions, and people's reactions aren't always pleasant.
With the enjoyment of the work comes a sense of duty to do the job better, and with that sense to do better comes an acknowledgment that to do better there needs to be a place with opportunity. For now, I have started streaming the Stand Alone Podcast to Twitch and posting some of the episodes and music I make to BitChute and advertising on Instagram.
In summation, evolving with the times and utilizing the tech will always come with the territory because we love what we do. Show those lesser know producers and makers some support. Don't know about any? Don't know how you could support them? Just subscribing to a YouTube channel or a Facebook page could make all the difference. That's what it is all about: making a difference.
Thank you.
HEAVEN AND HELL
Heaven cannot simply be a state of mind; nor can Hell be purely a haunting fiction.

The dissatisfaction felt when one cannot extinguish the possibility of these as places of being can be startling.
